This is an assignment for the subjects Advanced Computer Graphics. The objective is to create an animated movie poster (GIF)

2018

The story revolves around Renee, a girl who had time reversal power. She met Joseph because of a cup of spilled coffee and eventually fell in love with each other. After some time of sweet and romantic date, Joseph was dead due to a tragic accident. Therefore, Renee used her power to go back in time, to prevent the tragedy, but still, Joseph was dead in another way. Renee found out that no matter how hard she tried, Joseph will eventually be dead by the time 18:45.

Using a clock as the background, representing time, because this is a crucial element in the story. Besides, also create a focal point on both characters. For the first poster, the two characters are having interactions with each other and having deep eye contact, indicating they are close to each other. The hue and saturation are higher than the second poster. to show the tone of love and romance.

For the second poster, the two characters are looking away from each other, indicating that they no longer be together, their eyes are closing which means it was sad and painful to recall the past. The time from 6:44 pm to 6:45 pm, meaning that the tragedy happened, and they can no longer be together. To create contrast with the first poster, they have no physical interactions. Hue and saturation are lowered down to create a tone of sad and melancholy.

The concept of the GIF was inspired by the phone wallpaper. I used the time display on the phone as the movie title. When the time reverses from 18:45 to 18:44, indicated that Renee used her power to go back in time, and the message from Joseph pop out, meaning that they are still deeply in love with each other.

When the time passed from 18:44 to 18:45, meaning that the tragedy happened. Renee can't save Joseph anymore, she felt terribly sorry. They went far apart from each other.
